Maguire's Cabin

Background

On June 3, 2020, Sean invited me to the Telkit Developer Edition server he had just set up. Upon logging in, he told me he'd just found this breathtakingly beautiful lake, so I teleported over to him. I understood precisely what he meant when I saw it: it was truly astounding.

I decided to build a lakeside cabin, so I found a spot, cleared a couple trees, and began to build. Upon finishing it, I was proud of it, and Sean was impressed by it too. So was Nate, as he showed up to look at it as well, and he ended up being my neighbor on the lake.

Construction

The redwood trees that encompassed the lake blocked a lot of sunlight, which created the perfect forest floor aesthetic. I built the cabin out of spruce wood planks, and I found a very decorative glass pane that fit the look I wanted very well. I also built a pool behind it, but I didn't care for this addition once I was done with it. Thankfully, Sean eliminated the pool when he copied the cabin to the Telkit IV server.

In front of the cabin, I'd also added a stone brick boat docking bay, as well as a shed where I could work on vehicles from MrCrayFish's Vehicle Mod. Combined with the stone path, I thought the entire build looked cozy and perfect for a lakeside camping trip.
