Lying On The Floor

Synopsis
I had spent a significant portion of the summer of 2012 at my grandparents' house. As I had no decent laptop at the time, I began to transport the eMachine between my house and theirs on a regular basis. The only place in the house I could use it was in a spare room.
That room contained a PC that wouldn't start correctly (and wouldn't be fixed for another year), but all of its peripherals were functional, so I connected up the eMachine to its monitor, keyboard, and mouse, as well as its network connection, and began to use the computer as I did at home.
That room was used for storage on an intermittent basis, as it had been cleared out in 2011, but by summer 2012, it was filled up again. My grandmother, realizing how much use I was getting out of that room, cleared it out again in the final days of the summer.
This room essentially became a media room, filled with CDs, stereos, computers, and a couch. As the couch wasn't particularly comfortable, I would begin to regularly go into that room and lie down on the floor while listening to those CDs, hence the name of this playlist. I would spend a significant amount of my time over the next few months doing this.
While Lying On The Floor covers one of the shortest spans of times, it is by far the largest playlist, as it massively expanded my musical repertoire.
Notable Songs
With Lying On The Floor, I took a huge step back in my musical tastes: all the way back to the 1930s with my discovery of Glenn Miller. My gateway to him was my grandmother's possesion of the Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers album, which was a compilation mix that was popular in the late 1980s.
